Matthew 6:33 “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”
I sit on my patio, looking out on the lush green grass and olive trees, with the last of the evening sun shedding it’s light. I hear a multitude of birds singing their evening song, my chickens and roosters telling each other who is boss, and the odd little cheep of my turkey babies. I sit here alone, which is a good thing, with my cup of tea and Bible.
In this busy world where we are told life should be ‘go, go, go’, I relish time to just sit and read, and think. I close my eyes and concentrate on the sounds and smells of the land, and I feel rested.
As I read Psalm 105, my eye catches verse 4. “Search for the Lord and for his strength; continually seek him.” I need to continually seek God, not just for His presence, but for His strength. Are you needing strength at the moment like I am? He is your strength, He is your strong tower. He is your hiding place, He is your refuge. Take time to seek God, He promises that everything will fall into place if we make Him a priority. Take time to breathe, take time to “be”. God is waiting.
